Curl Up With A Good Book
If I had to pick one of my favorite activities curling up in a cozy space with a good book would certainly fall in my top five. Reading has always been a favorite past time of mine. I have a stack of books queue up waiting for me to dive into. I love being swept away by a great story. For me there is no better temporary escape then getting lost between the pages. So I propose to you that you make yourself a comfy little nook, grab a good book, and escape the long list if shit you have to get done this holiday season.
Book Club: Transformative Reads
While in the process of moving across the country I am trying not to let the stress of packing and moving hinder my transformative year and continuous journey in life to stay in a positive mindset and shine brighter every day. The challenge is real right now, but with a "low" I am taking a moment to turn this experience into a high and see the positive in the moving process. (Organization, purging items no longer needed, being back with family, keeping my cool during the moving process).
Summer Book Club: July
Reading in the summer wasn't always as fun as it is now. I am happy to get back into reading and making time for myself to read more. I love reading now under the summer sun or in the shade poolside, it wasn't fun when teachers assigned you books to read during the summer (I had my own stack of books I wanted to get through), but I was pretty nerdy and would usually read the assigned reading plus my own choice of books. This month I started off strong and instantly breezed through 4 books consecutively. I ended the month on the 5th book, but got a little discouraged and have been slowly finishing it (will include that one in the next book haul). The other four books were amazing and kept me hooked. Here are some of my suggestions if you are looking for some juicy summer reads!
February Book Recommendations
Growing up I loved reading. I would read every night before bed and any time I had the chance. These days I am lucky to make a moment for reading when I'm on a plane or have some "down time". I realized that I still loved reading and wanted to make it a priority. I block out time before bed to wind down with a book and it definitely helps me sleep better over mindlessly scrolling through social media before bed.
