How To Detoxify Your Body Without Giving Up Your Favorite Foods
Anna and I are in spring cleaning mode. Cleansing everything from our closets, to our bodies, to any chaos that has broken out emotionally during a long winter trapped indoors. One of our favorite ways to shake off winter and gear up for the spring is to practice a detoxifying yoga series. Certain yoga poses can help stimulate circulation, increase metabolism, and aid digestion and lymph systems to help your body eliminate toxins the same way certain foods can.

Spring Cleaning
I don’t know about you but by the end of each winter I feel like my eating habits have gone to total shit. As a general rule of thumb I try to follow the 80/20 rule with my diet. 80% of the time I eat extremely clean and the other 20% of the time I eat whatever my little heart desires. I will never claim myself to be one of the healthiest eaters out there. I wish I could but I REALLY REALLY LOVE FOOD. I love the things that aren’t necessarily that good for me like cheese and fried foods. I am a pretty small girl so people so who don’t know me mock me when I tell them I love to eat.

Managing Your Anxiety
The battle against anxiety is real. If your reading this I am assuming you have probably experienced anxiety at some point in your life. Maybe you are fortunate enough that you have never had to experience a full on anxiety attack, but in today’s fast paced day world even those of us who aren't genetically predisposed to an anxiety disorder find ourselves stressed to the max trying to balance it all.

ALL of the Drinks
Hydration is the best. Learn more about the fermented beverages at your farmer's market and grocery store shelves including Kombucha, Drinking Vinegars and Kvass. In case you haven't noticed I take my hydration very seriously. Like everyone is kind of creeped out by my massive yeti water bottle I carry around with me EVERYWHERE. I am obsessed with water and am especially thirsty out here in Colorado. It's so dry I legit feel like Spongebob visiting Sandy without his space helmet of water.

Three Rest Day "Workouts" To Enhance Recovery
Anna and I LOVE staying active. I played organized sports growing up and as an adult I quickly transitioned into a workout enthusiast, getting involved with everything from teaching yoga to training for a triathlon and various fitness classes such as soul cycle, kickboxing, and barre. You name the fitness craze I have likely tried it. Working out for me has been always been a tool to develop mental discipline. It is physical activity that forces me to push my physical limits, so I can push my mental ones as well.
